34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Matthew 6:34 KJV
Fear is the evil of today. Is taking thought for tomorrow fear, anxiety and stress? Yes. But 2 Timothy 1:7 says God has not given us the spirit of fear, but power (that means we have enough power for today), love (we are accepted), and a sound mind.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
Fear of tomorrow is not soundness of mind. It is incorrect spirituality because God didn’t give us the spirit of fear.
We have become one in our spiritual thinking, and have become one with it in our long-term memory, which is our psychology, so the law of sin is now in our members.
The law of God says — Take no thought for tomorrow. The law of God says — God did not give you the spirit of fear.
The law of sin says God cannot care for you. Something wrong is going to happen to you tomorrow, and fear needs to maintain you today. It needs to protect you from the dread of what’s going to happen tomorrow. So right here is the law of sin that has taken the predominance of our thinking, and the law of God has been suppressed. In this equation, we are practicing unrighteousness.
