What about Multiple Personality Disorder?

(Henry Wright) I will tell you a war story. I was ministering to a lady with MPD (multiple personality disorder) many years ago, and I had 14 multiples up with me all at one time. One of them said to me, “I’m the young one, Pastor. The other ones have to go. They’re bad for her, but I’ve only been here a short time. I’m the young one.” The Spirit of God rose up in me, and I found myself talking to something invisible that I could not see, but could hear me. I leaned forward in the ministry time and said to this evil spirit talking to me through this person, “Young one, you’ve only been there a short time?”

I said, “You have inhabited 78 humans from Adam, and she is the 79th.” It did not disagree with me, and it told me to do some very unhappy things to myself. But it did not disagree. God knew. You struggle with things that are beyond you. You were born. The children of the captivity in Nehemiah 8 and 9 saw what had happened to their parents from the Word of God. Then they saw these things in their own life that they saw in their parent’s life, their grandparent’s life and depending on their age, could see in their children and grandchildren. They understood that bondage came from their participation with sin, and they did something in Nehemiah 9:1-3. They confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers. We know now that iniquity is the old man, the flesh, the carnal nature of Ephesians 6. Our battle is not with flesh and blood, but with something that is not human. I’m flesh and blood; I’m human. You’re flesh and blood; you’re human. Paul said our battle, in Ephesians 6, is not with flesh and blood. My battle is not with my psyche. My battle is not with negative emotions and my psyche. My battle is with principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness in high places, and the rulers of the darkness of this world that have been methodically plaguing our generations with thoughts.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12 KJV

When we follow it, it becomes our sin. This needs to be understood immediately in Christianity. We’re being taught that we’re immune to this kingdom because of the cross. Now, the cross gave us the ability to discern it, defeat it and deal with it.

(Interviewer) I think that really is the problem. If we pretend it’s not there, it will continue to do its work.

(Henry Wright) It’s delusional thinking.

(Interviewer) It is! Jesus came to set us free, really set us free. To destroy the work of the evil one.

(Donna Wright) We’ve been applying these principles, and we have seen freedom, not only in ourselves, in our marriage, in our children’s lives, but world wide. It’s working. It’s really true. God’s Word really does work.

(Interviewer) When dealing with MPD, different spirits have attached themselves…

(Henry Wright) That’s my position. I’m one of the few people in the world that believes that the alters of MPD are evil spirits.
