I (Henry Wright) was ministering to a lady a few years ago that came and said to me as I was to pray for her, “No, don’t pray for me. My disease is from God.”
I said, “Do you really think that?”
She said, “Yes.”
I said, “Oh that’s serious. You think your disease is from God. Are you going to a doctor.”
She said, “Yes.”
I said, “Why?”
“Well, I want to get well.”
I said, “You hypocrite. How can you sit there are tell me your disease is from God, and you’re over here at a doctor trying to get well in disobedience to God. Get away from that doctor, just die. Get out of the road; do something.
If any one comes to me and says they think their disease is from God, (there are thousands of Christians and thousands of pastors who teach it), I ask them, “Are you going to a doctor?” Every single one of them is going to a doctor!
“So, if God gave you that disease, why in the world are you trying to disobey God and get away from that disease?” You see how silly this is? This is just insanity.
Then we say that we can participate with sin as a believer and there’s no consequence. It is insanity.
In my understanding in over 20 years of ministry at this level, and over 600 diseases under investigation at Pleasant Valley Research, and in over 200 major diseases that I see, there is behind that disease a sin issue. A person can give me the disease they have, and I know their spirituality. I know their psychology. I know their areas of bondage, because what I see behind that disease is consistent to that disease.
