Why should we recommend the King James Version of the Bible?

Unfortunately some of the Bible translators have removed half of Romans 8:1 from the scripture. It says — There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:1 KJV

We say it doesn’t make any difference if I have fear or self-hatred or guilt or envy or jealousy. I’m free. The cross freed me. I can participate with sin; there’s no consequence and there’s no condemnation.

Many years ago a man took that position, but he had all kinds of problems. He had problems with his business and his church and his marriage, and he called me (Henry Wright) wanting prayer. So I listened to his tale of woe. He had been serving sin, and not just a little bit. So I just told him, “You know you have these problems because you’re serving sin, and you have given it a legal right to your life, to bless you (which is not a good blessing).

He said, “Brother Henry you err. Have you not read in the Bible that there’s therefore now no condemnation for them that are in Christ Jesus. I’m a free man, in Christ.”

Well, I wondered if he’s such a free man in Christ, why did he call me? He has all these problems, and I said, “Well, why don’t you read the rest of that verse?”

He said, ‘There is no more to that verse.”

I said, “You’re right. The Bible translation you’re reading stops and dumps the other half.”

He said, “What does your Bible say?”

I said, “It’s King James, and it says this — There is therefore no condemnation to them in Christ Jesus – comma – who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

Brother, God has called us to be led by His Spirit as believers, and if we’re led by any spirit that is not the Holy Spirit, there’s a consequence.”

The Bible is clear as believers that if we sow unto the flesh, we are going to reap the flesh. If we sow unto the Spirit, we reap the things of the Spirit.

8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Galatians 6:8 KJV

One of the things that happens is when the masses decide morality, it infiltrates into that Church and we lose our grip on what’s moral. We just take it that since the masses have all accepted it, then we therefore must accept it too. So then we white wash it.
